Super friendly, right on the beach, good selection of flavors including hand dip and soft serve. We actually got our ice cream in the form of a shake for beach portability (and to share with the munchkin)

Great ice cream! (Much better than a different place 1/2 block away). I had toffee crunch and it was delicious! My husband.'s black cherry was equally yummy! Worth the walk up one flight (though an elevator is available).

A good selection of homemade ice cream at reasonable prices. We took our family of 5 and got lots of ice cream for under $15. The waffle cones are a good addition, especially when covered in chocolate or nuts. I got a specialty Sunday and it was delicious. The recipe called for cine on streusel, but they just threw on some pretzels. Meh... Only downer.

After spending an afternoon on the beach, having a bite of dinner then off to the Garden City Pier to take in some great music by a local band, and watching other locals fish, we were ready to turn in. We approached the end of the pier, where Painters Ice Cream Shop stands, one level above the street. Customer after customer left with a huge ice cream cone and we decided to give this place a try. They have approximately 20 flavors, with all the toppings, sugar and wafer cones, as well as the super sized waffle cones, some dipped in chocolate and sprinkles, some dipped in chocolate only and even plain! Soft serve and milkshakes are made there too. My honey was drawn to the butter pecan, I almost went for it too, except I changed my mind to coffee ice cream. I was curious, as this appeared to be almost full, but mine did not have ice crystals or any signs that this was old. It had a coffee flavor that over took the cream flavor, but it was still delicious. I tried my honey's Butter Pecan and it may have just been my taste, but it was a little skimpy on the pecans. Nevertheless, the ice creams were delightful. We hardly spoke to each other as we devoured our ice creams, we were really focused. As crunch time came (the cones) we headed towards the car and both remarked on what a lovely end of the night treat it was. This ice cream shop looks like it once was a burger joint, or perhaps in season they serve burgers too. Booths surround the perimeter of the store. There is a lovely beachy surf board scene at the counter, and the interior is painted a pale teal color. There is nothing lush about this restaurant, but it is perfect for what it is, a beach Ice Cream Shop.

Nice staff and great quality ice cream! They give you a decent amount and its very good. Definitely homemade, not shipped in. Prices are decent for it being in a tourist location.

This place isn't near all the touristy spots, but it's worth the drive! They had a ton of flavors of ice cream, but I finally chose the Mud Monster. The first few bites were amazing, but after a while I was getting sick of the sweetness. The hot fudge was waayyy too much. In hindsight, I should have just stuck to a plain cup or cone. Also, their Red Velvet ice cream was probably the best I'd ever had. It had chunks of red velvet cake swirled in-- no one does it better!

We stopped in after a day at the water park for a milk shake and WOW is was a great shake!! They have a very nice selection and very friendly staff! Great Job!!! Note: They are cash only! Although there is a ATM on site.

Best ice cream shop in myrtle beach. Got to get the cookie dough. Cookie dough chunks are at least a one inch square. Friendly service and clean dining area.

Super fast super great and super cool inside. Came here on a hot summer night got vanilla toasted coconut and it was AWESOME.... It was a donut and ice cream all in one.. Def try it you won't be let down... Hopefully they have it again the next time I visit... APLUSE... Note they are NOT CASH ONLY they do ask IF you could pay cash but you do not have to.
